Amjad M. Hammad, MD, MBA is a Vitreo-retinal specialist practicing in Saratoga Springs, NY. He is the

founder and managing partner of Saratoga Ophthalmology, a group ophthalmic practice as well as co-founder

and owner of The New York Eye Surgical center, an ophthalmic ASC. He is currently co-founder and chief

medical officer for two early stage start-up health technology firms.

He is immediate past president of the New York State Ophthalmological Society and a Councilor at the

American Academy of Ophthalmology.

He is American and Jordanian Board certified in Ophthalmology and has finished fellowships in neuro-

ophthalmology and vitreo-retinal surgery, He has also obtained an MBA with distinction from Yale University

via their executive track: Leadership in Healthcare program.

Dr. Hammad is an international speaker on clinical ophthalmology and the business of medicine and has

organized as well as been keynote speaker at conferences in Jordan, Dubai and New York at the state level. He

has been an invited panelist at the cross-industry innovation summit held by NASA at the Johnson space center

in 2016 and 2019.

He holds academic titles as Clinical Assistant Professor of Ophthalmology at Albany Medical Center and

Adjunct Professor of Business at Clarkson University.
