Sharon A. Stokes, MD, FAAD, is a dermatologist board certified by the American Board of Dermatology. For over 15
years she has practiced at her own busy, cutting edge clinical practice consisting of general, surgical and cosmetic
dermatology. She has two locations, one in Kissimmee and the other in Windermere, Florida. Her Kissimmee location
includes Fleur de Lis MediSpa.
She obtained her Medical Degree from Louisiana State University Medical School at New Orleans. Following her
graduation from medical school, she became board certified in both Internal medicine and Dermatology after completing a
three-year residency in each at LSU. In 1998, she contacted Allergan and spearheaded the entrance of Botox into the
residents’ cosmetic clinic at LSU. She served on the AAD occupational Dermatology committee in 1998 and has been a
longstanding member of the American Contact Dermatitis Society. She has lectured for Ferndale Pharmaceuticals. She
served as secretary for the Central Florida Dermatology Society for three years. In 2002, she was presented with an award
for Aldara/3M Physician Scientific Challenge Award at the EADV in Prague, Czech Republic. Dr. Stokes has on many
occasions received Americas Top Physician Award, the Consumers Research Council of America Excellence Award, “ Talk
of the Town” Award, Florida Sheriff Association/ Osceola County Fraternal Order of Police Award.
Dr. Stokes has a vibrant enthusiasm for innovation and was the first in her area to offer such treatments as, Coolsculpting,
Exilis, Excel V Laser, Photodynamic therapy and Cellulaze laser. She keeps her eye out for improvements on existing
technology and as a result keeps up to date with new technology in the dermatology community. She is a member of the
ASLMS, AAD, FSDS, ASDS and FSDDS. She participated speaker as a in the first Alphaeon Teoxane Expert Webinar
and currently serves as an Ambassador for TouchMD.
Although the University Of Central Florida Medical School is in its infancy, Dr. Stokes signed on for a position of
volunteer faculty. She has been a volunteer for Special Olympics and supports our US Military USO through the Jason
Burnett Foundation. She is a member of the Leaders Society of the Dermatology Foundation. She has served on the
Advisory Board for Nextech practice management Software Company.
Dr. Stokes’ other passions include music, rollerblading, camping and creating new recipes. She has played the flute since
age 9, and prior to leaving New Orleans; she played in the New Orleans Concert Band. She married her college sweetheart,
Kevin and they live with their two beautiful daughters, Lindsey and Hallie and their dog, Queenie.
