Satish S. Modi, MD, FRCS(C), CPI, completed his Ophthalmology residency at Montefiore Hospital & Albert

Einstein College of Medicine in the Bronx, New York. He has held a position of Assistant Clinical Professor of

Ophthalmology at Albert Einstein School of Medicine since then.

Dr Modi began private practice in Poughkeepsie, NY, and founded the Seeta Eye Centers with offices in

Poughkeepsie, Fishkill, and Carmel, NY. He specializes in cataract and refractive surgery and had the first

femtosecond cataract laser in the Northeast, after Drs. Mackool and Donnenfeld.

In 2015, 80% of all his cataract surgeries have been performed with the laser. Over 44% of all his cataract

surgeries have been with premium implants such as the Toric and Restor implants. Furthermore, Dr Modi

performed 300 refractive procedures, using the IntraLase and 400 Allegretto WaveLight instruments.

In 1998, Dr. Modi founded the Dutchess Ambulatory Surgical Center, a multi specialty ASC, where he performs

all his surgeries, including glaucoma, strabismus, blrpharoplasties, and ICLs. There are over 30 other surgeons

who use the facility.

Dr. Modi is a CPI, or a Certified Principal Investigator, through the ACRP (Association of Clinical Research

Professionals) and is well versed in GCP, ICH, and FDA protocol. He has been involved in 40 studies, both

NDA, and IDE.

Finally, Dr Modi is an AAAHC Surveyor and evaluates ASCs throughout the country.
