Brock Magruder Jr, MD is a graduate of Emory University Medical School. He continued at Emory for his

Ophthalmology Residency, and also served as Chief Resident. After completing his internship and

ophthalmology residency training, Dr. Magruder returned to Orlando and joined his father, Dr. G. Brock

Magruder, Sr., in private practice to form the Magruder Eye Institute.

Dr. Magruder has extensive experience in refractive surgery and refractive cataract surgery. He has a special

interest in femtosecond laser assisted lens surgery.

In 2003, Dr. Magruder initiated an ongoing eye mission program in the Dominican Republic, leading a surgical

team to provide cataract surgery and glasses to those without access to eye care. He now makes regular trips to

provide similar services in rural Jamaica, where he has restored eyesight in more than 1,000 patients.

Dr. Magruder is an avid cyclist, both for recreation and transportation. He practices yoga regularly. He has a

fondness for wine and reading. Dr. Magruder serves as a founding member of Bike Walk Central Florida,

reflecting his interest in pedestrian and cyclist safety and alternative transportation.
