David Verebelyi, MD has been working with lasers since he received his undergraduate degree. He graduated with a

Bachelor of Science and Minor in Psychology after three and a half years from the Missouri School of Science and

Technology. From there, he worked as a Biochemist for two years before entering medical school. After graduating

from St. George’s University School of Medicine with Honors, he went on to the University of Connecticut for

residency training in Family Medicine. Since residency, Dr. Verebelyi has received board-certification from both the

American Board of Family Medicine and the American Board of Venous and Lymphatic Medicine as well as achieving

his license as a registered vascular technologist (RVT).

Dr. Verebelyi is a fellow of the American Society for Laser Medicine and Surgery (ASLMS) He has been an instructor

for several of the ASLMS courses including helping develop and co-chair the fundamentals course. He has been an

active member of ASLMS having written the original pre-course modules for the fundamentals course, the industry

slide side with Dr. Anderson (Director Wellman Center for Photomedicine) and Dr. Jansen (Professor Biomedical

engineering and Neurosurgery Vanderbilt) as well as being a presenter for topics such as hair removal and light-based

treatment for primary care providers. He been part of the strategic planning committee, young professional task force,

online content committee, selection committee and a regular content provider to the society. Colorado Skin & Vein is

an ASLMS preceptor site and Dr. Verebelyi has trained many of the top professionals in the field. He is onsite at

Colorado Skin & Vein every day and personally performs many of the treatments.

Outside of clinical practice and ALSMS, Dr. Verebelyi is a reviewer for the Journal of Dermatologic Surgery and works

nationally in complicated legal cases to help those involved understand the physiology of these types of treatments. He

also helps with development of new technologies with several manufacturers as well as designing training protocols for

providers. Dr. Verebelyi has been featured in several news stories and quoted in many national publications such as

Medical Aesthetics. He has also worked with multiple on- air personalities for shows such as TLC’s “10 Years

Younger”, Bravo’s “Shear Genius”, Speed Network’s “Pinks”, and several of Denver’s local media stars.

Dr. Verebelyi’s passion for teaching has led to two ASLMS Presidential Awards. He is a long time member of Mensa

and prides himself in breaking down barriers to learning as well as processing complex concepts into simple, usable

pieces of information. Under his guidance, Colorado Skin & Vein has been awarded multiple local awards and been

designated one of only nine national training centers for Lumenis of while also being named a Center of Excellence for

multiple technologies. The office is dedicated to staying ahead of the curve and houses an array of technology not

found anywhere else in the country.
